Epiphany Association

Reverend Adrian van Kaam, CSSp, PhD (1920-2007) and Susan Muto, PhD, co-founded the Epiphany Association in 1979. Though at that time both professors taught formative spirituality at Duquesne University, they were aware of the deep spiritual hunger among the population in general. Since most "people in the pew" could not attend rigorous university courses, van Kaam and Muto developed outreach programs in various churches and congregations, which warranted their own non-profit organization. Thanks to the leading of the Holy Spirit and the generosity of countless friends and benefactors, their dream of an independent center for research, publication, and dissemination of formative spirituality became a reality over thirty years ago.
