GROWING IN CHRIST
On-Line Courses
Epiphany Academy of Formative Spirituality is pleased to offer its Growing in Christ Series of three on-line courses. These courses are designed to provide a lived understanding of human and Christian formation. Growing In Christ explores conditions for, and obstacles to, walking with Christ as true disciples. This material also provides a means for students to explore their unique-communal life calls, and methods for the integration of contemplation and action within all facets of their lives.
Through the study of concepts in formative spirituality, as well as reflections on Holy Scripture and the Spiritual Masters, students gain insight regarding the use of their own gifts -- and how these gifts may be used to serve others in light of their own faith and formation traditions.
Each Growing In Christ course consists of six lessons. Each lesson presents Formative Spirituality concepts and constructs. After exhibiting a basic mastery of these concepts, students are asked to reflect on relevant passages from Holy Scripture, as well as selected passages from the Literature of Spirituality.
Students are required to submit written assignments for each of the six lessons in the course. The assignments may be submitted via email, or via postal US Mail. After satisfactory completion of these assignments, and subsequent feedback from Epiphany Academy faculty, the student continues with the next lesson for the course. Students receive six CEU’s for completion of each GIC on-line course (earning a total of 18 CEU’s upon completion of all three Growing In Christ courses). The fee is $60 per course.
